Topic: better cars.?!

Hoi....since I don't know dutch (I know a little bit) I will speak in fluid English , which you all understand very well.
Browsing this forum and Autogespot.nl I spotted something very interesting , or not, it depends.
since its a dutch site its primary objective is to 'spot' great & exclusive and more expensive cars , if possible on dutch plates. however since I'm not from Eu what I see here is what I get , and I belive your 'spots'. Why are there more (plenty more) far better cars (exclusive , expensive etc on German plates.....? of course you can browse by country / cities but I just wonder how come that the difference is so Huge!...? Are the Germans so much wealthier than dutch? how come that they drive better much better cars , they have the industry I know but is the difference in salary really that big?...for example if I chose a dutch city there are cool cars around , but one two are on German plates and they are better already?! more exclusive like Alpina bmw or Brabus...
is the tax reason?

First off, Welcome to the forum.
My english isn't that good as yours, and I am an englishman too haha (but live in the Netherlands for many years). To live in the Netherlands isn't cheap. We have a lot of taxes, on everything. Cars in Germany are a lot cheaper then in Holland.
We have something called 'slurptax' and luxurious tax etc. If you buy a car in holland, for each option that you choose you have to pay more money/tax. If you have car what produces a lot of CO2 you have to pay more money.
This is to stimulate people to but a fuel efficient car.

the moral of the story is, that in Holland for everything extra you have to pay a lot more money. We also have high income tax. the more you earn, the more you pay and the scales aren't in proportion.

People feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but this is how I think it is

And in Germany there live way more people then in The Netherlands. So if you have more people who live in your country you will have also more cars. And there is also a big price difference between Germany and the Netherlands.

ok that doesn't make any sense to me because Ive spoken with dutch people before and they were complaining about their houses and their sizes ,
like being small and too expensive , like almost impossible to buy a piece of land and build your own house...but if you pay more for something you should be getting more right?
...those are quite few reasons for being unhappy , must be a great salary then?

average salary is €   34.600 (2010), only counting the active labor force.
If we calculate the average salary over the complete population of the Netherlands it is € 22.000 ( average)

It's here the same as in every other country. You have rich people and you have poor people and the middle class. You have small houses but also very big ones. But it's the same in America and Germany and France (And the moest other country who have a western lifestyle)....... In every country you have people who are complaining..
